Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Holds “Face to Face with Aphasia” Symposium

CenterLight's Margaret Tietz Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Queens hosted its third Healthcare Symposium entitled “Face to Face with Aphasia”. The event featured two discussion panels. The first one was with speech language pathologists Akila Rajappa, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S, Speech Language Pathologist, Columbia University Teacher’s College and Yael Neumann-Werth, PhD, CCC-SLP, Assistant Professor, Department of Linguistics and Communication Disorders, Queens College; and the second with individuals living with aphasia. The former director of National Aphasia Association, Ellayne Ganzfried, MS, CCC-SLP, ASHA Fellow, moderated the discussion. There was an extensive display of information and resources from highly esteemed organizations from Queens, Manhattan, Long Island, and New Jersey.
