Seize the Day

Our Adult Day Health Care program, located close to The Tietz residential center, provides a nurturing environment for adults who live at home and are coping with chronic health conditions such as physical disabilities, stroke, multiple sclerosis or osteoarthritis. We serve individuals 18 years of age and older from diverse cultures, with a staff that speaks their language and caters to their needs.

Participants receive round-trip transportation to the program, where a skilled clinical team attends to their health and rehabilitative needs. There are also many other services available, including social work services, podiatry, integrative/holistic medicine, personal care and audiology.

Lunch and a snack are served under the supervision of a dietician, and our menu caters to the diverse needs of participants, including kosher and non-kosher meals as well as ethnic selections. Our nutritionists accommodate specialty diets, such as low sodium, low sugar and low cholesterol.

Besides health care, each day is balanced with recreational activities that include singing, dancing, crafts, games; trips to parks, museums, movies and shopping malls; and more.

Medicaid covers the cost of Margaret Tietz’s Adult Day Health Care program. We also accept private payment.
